A special thanks to our friends at W Atlanta-Buckhead for having us! As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Making our marriage a priority has strengthened our whole family’s bond. When Lew and I are feelin’ the love, everything goes more smoothly, tiny setbacks stay tiny, and the entire household is happier and healthier.  

Since the boys are at that age when seeing their parents kiss is “sooooo grosssss” (apparently, every age between birth and TBD), we decided to get a little more mileage out of V-Day, and popped over to W Hotel Atlanta-Buckhead for a parents’ night out.

If you haven’t been to W Atlanta-Buckhead, it’s like spending the night at the hottest club in town, without having to… go clubbing. It’s glam city, and I love the combo of cheeky pop art blended with more elevated luxe decor. It just works. Lounge on a plush banquette with delish duck confit tacos and some fab tequila cocktails? If we must, we must. And we did.

We happened to be there on Taco Tuesday, but if malt and rye are more your style, Whiskey Wednesdays sound like an excellent mid-week treat too. Actual weekend nights? DJs spinning, live acts slaying… J.A.M. Saturdays, I’m looking at you.

If you’re in town for a few days, check out the rooftop WET deck and infinity pool, FIT gym (open 24 hours a day, for you early exercisers)… you don’t need to look further than the Lobby Bar if you want scene for days, but of course, the Whatever/Whenever Concierge Team goes every single extra mile for guests. 

But, since this was just a quick escape for some R+R+R (third one is for romance, of course), we decided to grab a late dinner and then enjoy a movie night in. Some boutique-style hotels can be a bit lacking in room conveniences. Not W. Our suite was outfitted with some amazing local artwork, bathrobes, mini-bar (we decided on room service rosé), plenty of space to lounge around in our cozy W bathrobes, a cocktail cubby (how do I make this a Thing?), a Nespresso bar, and O M G W feather beds and pillows. #thatisall 

I wasn’t quite ready to check out on Wednesday, but we’ll be back (still sans boys… not sorry!). Lew and I have a whiskey date.
